Roll for community. Stay for the people.

Finding your people can be hard. Finding your people when your idea of a great Saturday involves dice, decks, miniatures, character sheets, or an aggressively competitive board game can be even harder.

That’s why we created the UUCCHC Gamers Guild, part of our Cultivating CommUUnity program.

The Gamers Guild is a welcoming community space for people to gather around games of all kinds, meet new people, share the things they love, and maybe discover something new along the way. So far, we’ve hosted Dungeons & Dragons and Warhammer 40K events, including opportunities for experienced players and people who have never rolled a d20 or painted a tiny war dolly in their lives.

And we’re deliberately keeping the Guild flexible. After all, in good UU tradition, we believe communities work best when we listen to the people who are actually in them. That means the Gamers Guild can include tabletop roleplaying games, miniature gaming, board games, card games, painting and hobby sessions, learn-to-play events, casual game nights, and whatever else our community tells us would help create a place where people genuinely want to gather.

You don’t need to be an expert. You don’t need to own a collection of games. And you definitely don’t need to be a member of UUCCHC. You just need to be willing to share the table.

The UUCCHC Gamers Guild is part of Cultivating CommUUnity, our growing collection of programs designed to create welcoming spaces for connection, creativity, play, and belonging. This work is made possible in part through the generosity of the Hendricks County Community Foundation as part of our Caring CommUUnity initiative.
