The UUCCHC Board of Directors met Sunday, July 12, and elected officers for fiscal year 2026-2027. New officers are:
- President – Rosie Blankenship (president@uucchc.org)
- Vice-President – Theresa Bordenkecher (vp@uucchc.org)
- Treasurer – Tyler McQueen (treasurer@uucchc.org)
- Secretary – Sarah Ratekin (secretary@uucchc.org)
- At-large – Dian Moore (atlarge@uucchc.org)

The board met for the regular monthly meeting, then spent the afternoon together in retreat. The purpose of the retreat was to get to know each other better as a board, to onboard new members, and to discuss goals for the year. We enjoyed a fabulous homemade lunch (thanks Lynn Goodner!) in the garden before meeting in various locations throughout the church for our retreat.
More information will be shared as we continue our work, but preliminary thoughts from the retreat included:
- forwarding a process this year of establishing annual goals, a 1-year and a 3-year strategic plan
- establishing an annual bylaws review process
- and within the next 90 days (for some quick wins) to:
- conduct a visitor experience audit
- establish processes for creating press releases and submitting newsletter items
- recruit an investment funds committee
- determine if we can identify at least one communication process that could benefit from automation
