Poetry Night
Poetry Night at UUCCHC is relaxed, welcoming, and open to everyone, whether you’ve been writing for years or have never been to a poetry night anywhere. Come to listen, or bring a favorite pieces of writing to share: something you wrote, something you love, or something that’s been living in your head lately.
There’s no theme, no critique, and no expectation to perform — just words, voices, and connection. We gather to listen deeply, laugh often, and sit with ideas that linger. Some nights are light, some are thoughtful, and all are shaped by the people in the room. Newcomers are always welcome, and simply being there is more than enough.
Whether this is your first poetry night or your 50th, bring a poem, bring a friend, or just bring yourself! First and third Wednesdays every month starting at 7 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Community Church at 95 N Jefferson in Danville, Indiana. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Register if you can; drop in if you can’t. We’ll welcome you either way!
