The Board met on Sunday, Aug. 10, and overall, things are progressing well following the board transition. Preliminary minutes are available on our website under About > Governance.
We discussed the ongoing need for a Services Planning Committee Chair and agreed to move forward on getting a pool of Religious Education volunteers and paid “as needed” subs background-checked so they can be available on call.
The Board also has a long list of documents to review and organizational tasks to tackle. To make progress, we’ll hold “work sessions” about every other month—focused time for reviewing, revising, and researching together. Our first session will be 1:30–3:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 14, and all are welcome to pitch in.
Board meetings will now be held at 11:30 a.m. on the second Sunday of each month. The next meeting is Sunday, Sept. 14, 11:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m. The agenda will be available online by Friday, Sept. 5. All meetings are public—come join us!

A church directory will soon be accessible on our secure membership site, Realm. We are updating settings and need members to test access and offer their feedback, both on a computer and via an app. If you’d like to help, email uucchc@uucchc.org.
