A 1984 Wendy’s commercial made the point that they serve chicken in their whole form not like others that glom all parts of chickens together and shape it into pieces. Communities cannot flourish if the members are enmeshed and do not offer their unique gifts for the good of the group. When people feel a strong sense of belonging, not only they flourish but they nurture the community and the community flourishes.
