Maardu Rev. Dennis McCarty will mark the Sunday before Thanksgiving with “Food Offerings for the Forgiving Temple,” an examination of how we evolved to eat what we eat. Rev. Dennis is a compulsive eater who has struggled with weight his whole life. Thanksgiving is our holiday most dedicated to food and eating, so it always brings up strong feelings for him. He will share the evolutionary science behind our eating habits, and what it all might mean in the very big (religious) picture.
