Remembering and Honoring Jim Ferrell

http://uslanka.net/2014/01/05/dark-agent-sashini-iddamalgoda Jim Ferrell, long-time treasurer and founding member of UUCC, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, January 7, 2021. Even during the many months Jim battled the cancer that eventually claimed his life, he was focused on a smooth transition of his many church duties, as well as compiling genealogy records for his family. Jim showed amazing courage and grace over the past year. He was a very private person, but cared deeply for his family and his church community.

buy Latuda online without dr approval Jim’s contributions to our church cannot be overstated. Monetary donations were substantial, but an even greater impact was felt through his contributions of time and his considerable talents. He was always there to shovel snow, pull weeds, mow grass and paint walls. His wizardry on the computer kept us up to date with technology, and his fiscal management skills kept us financially secure. It’s going to take a team of several people to fill the void that Jim’s passing leaves the church.

Aside from the impact Jim had on the operations of UUCC, his kind heart was felt far beyond our walls. His guidance and organization for the Christmas Day Dinner, for example, helped insure a smooth operation. His generous spirit will be missed. And while we honor Jim in our memories, we recognize the other half of the Ferrell team—Faye. Her love and support for Jim (and sometimes patience!), as well as her tireless work for UUCC are deeply appreciated.

Jim requested no obituary be printed, so this brief tribute will stop short of that. But we simply could not allow his passing to go without some words of gratitude. Jim, we are indebted to you and we will miss you.
