best site to buy modafinil online australia Dear
UUCC Community,
We are writing to let you know that the board
has decided to temporarily suspend all in-person gatherings at the church, effective
immediately. The church is not “closing,” but we are shifting to
meeting and conducting business virtually (via video chat), over the phone, and
via email. We will continue to monitor the pandemic situation to determine
how long the suspension of in-person gatherings must remain in effect.
In making the decision to suspend meeting together, we are following recommendations of the UUA, the CDC, epidemiologists and other health leaders. While this was not an easy decision, the board felt that it is the best decision for our church community and for our building considering the public health implications of the coronavirus. While some in our congregation may not be at serious risk, the risk is very real for elders and those with compromised immune systems. The only way to make a difference is to work together to slow the spread of the disease. The only successful strategy for that so far is social distancing. We will be implementing online tools for services and meetings as quickly as we can. We are going to stick together, even while we are physically distant.
Who could have ever imagined that in Indiana in the month of
March, the “Holy Trinity” of high school basketball, NCAA Tournament, and the
NBA would all be cancelled? What we are facing is truly challenging and we will
do what we must to get through it. If we do not see the infection numbers
predicted, that will not mean we overreacted; it will mean we succeeded.
We will send out more information as we have it,
so please stay tuned for further updates on how we will stay connected and
support one another during these difficult times.
Sincerely,
UUCC Board:
Sam Carman, President
Aly Ritter, Vice President
Jim Ferrell, Treasurer
Amanda Brizindine, Secretary
Jeff Haverly, Board member at large
