cheap priligy online children / grandchildren / generations to come

With the United Nations Climate Change Summit going on in NYC the week of Sept 23, our UUCCHC is presenting a service on September 22 entitled “Climate Change, The Urgency To Address It, and “What Each of Us Must Do.”

Our Jeff Haverly Retired Engineer in Marine & Nuclear Power and Mechanical Equipment Reliability will be delivering the sermon, based on UUA initiatives, and will emphasize that we are truly in a crisis.  The emergency has been developing over decades (as well as centuries), resulting in a failure by many to realize the urgency and enormity of the crisis.  Now we have little time left to address it, so we all must start acting NOW.

Jeff will discuss the topic of Climate Change, relate it to actions moving (or not moving) in the US, and what we must do politically and locally to help put efforts into high gear.  We will have time for discussion as well as further discussion during social hour following the service.

Please join this important discussion.  We welcome input, sharing your personal interests, and discuss how we can, as a group move Hendricks County forward on this issue.

You will see that we must get involved politically by contacting all our governmental representatives.

We must all be living by the rules that follow, aggressively, turning them into habits, and sharing them across Hendricks County and Indiana.

Things we can do right now!

Number Climate Friendly Task Supporting Info.
1 Drive Less Transport accounts for about 64% of global oil consumption, 27% of all energy use, 23% of the worlds energy related CO2 production
2 Local Produce Buy local and seasonal produce!  They taste better and are environmentally friendly, supports local growers and farmers, helps prevent trucks from driving long distances
3 Bring Your Own Bag Up to 5 trillion single use plastic bags are used every year.  Besides polluting the ocean and environment, plastic bags can increase the transmission of diseases like malaria by clogging sewers.
4 Unplug The less energy that is used, the less needs to be produced.  Although there are climate friendly energy sources, change needs to come from the end users – residents, businesses, industries – who must control their consumption.
5 Recycle Most plastics, about 80%, never fully decompose; they just get smaller and smaller until they are ingested by fish and animals. Recycling paper, plastic, glass, and aluminum leads to a substantial resource savings and helps keep landfills from growing.
6 Zero Waste Fashion 10,000 liters of water are required to produce one pair of jeans – equivalent to amount of drinking water a person drinks in 10 years.
7 Refill & Reuse 1 million plastic bottles are purchased every minute and then discarded, adding to over 300 million tons of plastic waste a year that pollutes the environment
8 5-Minute Shower Water scarcity already affects four out of every ten people.  With 80% of our wastewater never being treated, taking shorter showers is a great way to save this precious resource.
9 Meat Free Meals The meat industry is responsible for more greenhouse gas emissions than the world’s biggest oil companies.  Meat production contributes to the depletion of water resources and is the largest driver of deforestation.
10 Lights Off When you switch your lights off, even for a few seconds, it saves more energy than it takes for the light bulb to start up, regardless of the bulb type.  From now on, always turn off in room lights that aren’t being used.
