What Do We Do and How Can You Help?
  • We Provide a Community Presence: By having informational booths, we show the community who we are and what we do. We need people to find places for us to be and organize the volunteers for it.
  • We Welcome Our Visitors: A friendly face when a visitor walks through the door, answering questions, inviting visitors to coffee hour and introducing them to other people. We need people to be greeters!
  • Cares and Concerns: We show our care and concern to those in need. There is always a need for people to write a card, make a visit or cook a meal.
  • Social Activities: We help to strengthen our family through events that allow us to build relationships. Pool Party! Need I say more? We need people who can plan more fun events for us!
  • Education: Pretty self explanatory. We can always use people to teach our Exploring UU Class or provide other pamphlets or informational material to the congregation.
  • Administration: This is an important aspect of our work. We monitor and maintain records of member and visitor attendance, and implement initiatives to foster visitors becoming members. We need people to help with recordkeeping and annual registration.
  • Volunteerism: To promote volunteerism within the community. We need you to help us to help others!

  7. Have a cup of coffee with someone you don't know very well.
  8. Help to create an inviting environment by keeping the pews neat and tidy.

  10. Don't just point people in the right direction; offer to escort them where they are going.
